Tech Lead / CTO

Job Summary We are seeking a **founding technology leader** to spearhead the development of a **next generation quick commerce platform for medicine delivery**. This role involves building the entire technology infrastructure from scratch, shaping the company's technical vision, and leading the engineering team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in defining the company's trajectory during its early growth phase, ## Responsibilities - Architect and develop a **scalable technology platform** from day one, supporting high-volume, real-time commerce and delivery operations. - Make **critical technology decisions** with limited resources, demonstrating high ownership and strategic thinking. - Build and lead the **initial engineering team**, establishing best practices and engineering standards. - Collaborate closely with the founders on **product, technology, and business strategy** to ensure alignment and execution. - Design and implement systems capable of supporting **real-time order management, logistics, inventory, and delivery orchestration**. - Own the **technology roadmap** from Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to full-scale deployment, balancing speed, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. - Develop **internal tools and operational dashboards** to facilitate business operations and analytics. - Ensure the architecture supports rapid expansion across multiple locations and integrates seamlessly with external partners such as pharmacies, warehouses, and logistics providers. ## Qualifications - **6+ years of software engineering or technology experience**, with flexibility for exceptional candidates. - Proven experience in **architecting and scaling consumer facing or transactional platforms**. - Strong fundamentals in **backend development and distributed systems**. - Experience with **real-time systems, order management, inventory, logistics, or fulfillment** is highly valuable. - Demonstrated ability to **build products from 0 to 1**. - Deep understanding of **system architecture, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, scalability, and reliability**. - Experience in **hiring and building engineering teams**. - Comfortable being **hands-on with technology** while providing **strategic leadership**. - Strong **product thinking** and ability to translate **business requirements into technical solutions**. - Ability to operate effectively in an **ambiguous, resource-constrained startup environment**. - Educational qualifications such as **BTech, BSc, MTech, or equivalent** are preferred. ## Preferred Skills - Experience with **cloud platforms** (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). - Knowledge of **real-time data processing and analytics**. - Familiarity with **API design and microservices architecture**. - Prior experience in **healthcare, logistics, or supply chain technology**. - Entrepreneurial or **founder/exited founder** background with a strong technical depth. - Ability to **innovate rapidly** and adapt to evolving business needs. ## Experience - Minimum of **8+ years** in software engineering or related roles. - Relevant experience in **building scalable, high-performance platforms**. - Experience working in **startup environments** or leading **early-stage product development**.
