Finance & Accounts Head ## Company Overview *Not specified.* ## Job Summary We are seeking an **experienced Finance & Accounts Head** to oversee and manage the company's accounting and financial operations within a fast-growing startup environment. The role involves building finance processes from scratch, managing end-to-end accounting, strengthening internal controls, and working closely with vendors, internal teams, and external accounting/CA partners. This position offers a unique opportunity to establish and scale the finance function in a high-growth, technology-driven organization. ## Responsibilities - Own **end-to-end accounting and finance operations**, ensuring accuracy and timely closure of books. - Lead the **Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle**, including purchase invoices, vendor verification, approvals, payments, and reconciliation. - Manage **Accounts Payable (AP)**, vendor payments, payment schedules, and maintain strong vendor relationships. - Oversee **vendor onboarding**, documentation, payment terms, and outstanding payables. - Handle accounting for **CapEx, procurement, assets, and project-related expenditures**. - Maintain **accurate books of accounts** and ensure timely **monthly/periodic financial closures**. - Monitor **cash outflows**, payment requirements, and perform short-term **cash planning**. - Build and implement **finance processes, controls, workflows, and documentation** from scratch. - Establish **approval matrices** and **internal controls** for procurement and payments. - Coordinate with external **CA, accounting, tax, and statutory compliance firms**. - Support **statutory and regulatory compliance**, ensuring timely submission of required information. - Prepare **MIS and financial reports** for management, including payables, cash flow, expenses, and CapEx. - Identify **process gaps** and implement automation and improvements across finance operations. - Partner with procurement, operations, and leadership teams to ensure **effective financial controls** and **timely payments**. - Support the finance function as the organization scales and financial complexity increases. ## Qualifications - **Chartered Accountant (CA)** – Mandatory. - **4–6 years** of relevant experience, preferably in **startups** or **early-stage, fast-growing environments**. - Strong hands-on experience in **accounting, Accounts Payable, P2P, vendor management, and payments**. - Experience managing **finance operations** in **manufacturing, deep-tech, engineering, aerospace, hardware, or CapEx-intensive startups**. - In-depth understanding of **CapEx accounting, procurement accounting, vendor reconciliations, and cash management**. - Proven ability to **build finance processes, controls, and SOPs** from the ground up. - Comfortable working with **external CA/accounting firms** for statutory and compliance activities. - Proficiency in **accounting software/ERP** systems and **MS Excel**. - Excellent **attention to detail**, **ownership**, and **problem-solving skills**. - Ability to work **independently** in a **fast-paced startup environment**. ## Preferred Skills - Experience with **automation tools** and **financial technology solutions**. - Knowledge of **taxation**, **statutory compliance**, and **audit processes**. - Strong **interpersonal and communication skills** for stakeholder management. - Familiarity with **high-value procurement** and **vendor negotiations**. ## Experience - **4 to 6 years** of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles, ideally within startups or organizations with significant CapEx and procurement activities. ## Environment - The role is based in **Bangalore**. - The work environment is **fast-paced** and **dynamic**, requiring adaptability and proactive problem-solving. - The position involves **collaborating with cross-functional teams**, external vendors, and external CA/accounting firms. - The role may involve **office-based work** with potential for **hybrid arrangements** depending on organizational policies. ## Salary *Not specified.* ## GrowthOpportunities *Not specified.* ## Benefits *Not specified.*
